ATS, A KINGDOM OR APOSTOLIC APPROACH TO THEOLOGICAL & MINISTRY TRAINING

Hi, my name is George Kouri and I am the Chancellor of the Apostles theological Seminary. I was born again became a member of the First Baptist Church, Lawton, Oklahoma, when I was 13 years old, and I was called to the ministry when I was 16 years old .

Almost immediately, I began to wherever I had an opportunity. After graduating from Lawton High School in 1954, I attended Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Upon graduating from OBU in 1958, I attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas, graduating in 1961. All during my years at OBU and Southwestern and for several years afterwards, I faithfully and diligently served as a pastor in Southern Baptist Churches.  However, in 1969, during the early days of the Charismatic movement, I had a dramatic encounter with the Lord, and I was filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues. It was really only after this experience that the Lord Jesus began to open my spiritual understanding, enlarge my personal experience of the gifts and operations of God, and expose me to the larger Christian community worldwide.

Over the last forty years of extensive study and ministry, not only throughout the Continental USA, but also in India and Africa, the Lord has greatly enlarged my personal and ministry experience from my early beginnings to encompass a truly Scriptural understanding of the victorious eschatology of Jesus and His Messianic Kingdom, the One Church that He is building (a Holy Nation, the New Covenant Israel, One Holy Apostolic Church which is made up of myriads and myriads of congregations in cities and nations connected by apostles and elders to function as one Church throughout the world), Kingdom initiation or what my father in the Gospel Ern Baxter used to call the "Peter Package", valid apostolic government of the Church or the fellowship or communion of apostles and elders of Apostles and Elders, Kingdom or Davidic worship and the importance of the Lord's day, the Church's spiritual warfare and conquest of Satan's Kingdom, the destiny of the saints to possess nations and fill all things with the glory of God before the end of this present evil age.  And while I am deeply grateful for my early years at OBU and Southwestern, where I received from an outstanding faculty a high view of Scripture and a deep appreciation of the authority of God's Word, and where also, I was exposed to the long history of Christianity and a wide variety or diversity of theology held by various denominations and Christian movements,  I want to assure you that ATS is not just another seminary.

In fact there is not another theological seminary or ministerial training program like the Apostles Theological Seminary in the world.

A true Kingdom or Christian "seminary" is supposed to be a "seed bed" for Messiah's Kingdom. It is supposed to be a place where those called to fivefold ministry discover or are taught the "Seed" or the "Word of the Kingdom of God" and become equipped to steward or minister that "Seed" or "Word" and bring forth offspring unto God.  Sadly, most seminaries around the world are actually seeking to prepare ministers to serve in a particular denomination or movement of Christianity (i.e. Roman Catholic, Orthodox, Reformed, Baptist, Evangelical, Pentecostal, Word of Faith, and etc.). Because of this often they are helping to perpetuate the present denominational division and sub-normality of the modern church. ATS on the other hand is earnestly seeking to rediscover and impart to a whole new generation of Kingdom ministers the authentic "Seed" or "Word of the Kingdom" that Jesus entrusted to His original apostles while they were part of His mobile seminary. This "Seed" or "Word" has been preserved for us in the Canon of the New Testament. I am talking about the revelation of Jesus the Messiah King, His Kingdom and His Church that Jesus Himself entrusted to the original apostles and that has been preserved for us throughout the centuries since that time in the Canon of the New Testament. We are not only seeking to impart the revelation of the Lord, but also, we are seeking to equip this new generation of Kingdom ministers to be able to apply this revelation by the power of the Holy Spirit to the problems and divisions that are rampant in the church and the world of the 21st Century.

Simply put the Lord's mandate to ATS is to impart the "Seed" (the DNA) or "Word of Messiah's Kingdom" and by the power of the Spirit raise-up a whole new and radical generation of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, and Church leaders to serve God's Kingdom purpose in the 21st Century.

It is our deep conviction that for a fivefold minister of Christ to be fully prepared to serve Messiah's Kingdom purpose in the 21st century he or she must be grounded or fully established in the revelation of the Lord (the doctrine of Christ and His Apostles), should also understand 2000 years of Church history and the various   theologies held by denominational churches (i.e. Christianity did not begin with us), should be fully aware of the Spirit of the age in which we are living (there is a real devil and the 21st century presents the Lord's Church with unique challenges), and finally, like the sons of Issachar, he or she must know what Israel (the Lord's Church) should do.

If you are called to fivefold ministry, I encourage you to take time to read our mission statement and philosophy or approach to ministry training located under, "WHY ATS" at http://www.atsvirtual.org/why-ats. Review our newly upgraded and streamlined Masters and Doctoral degree requirements and course schedules found under, "AREAS OF STUDY" at http://www.atsvirtual.org/areas-of-study. Please note that both our Masters, and Doctors Degrees are in Apostolic and Prophetic Studies. Our Masters Degree only requires 20 courses, plus the completion of a paper or ministry project. With diligence it can easily be completed in two years. The Doctors degree requires only 9 courses, plus a Doctoral Thesis or the completion a ministry project. With effort the Doctoral program can easily be completed in one year.

Finally, go to http://www.atsvirtual.org/admissions, fill out the Enrollment Form and begin the enrollment process. Note that for a limited time our degree programs are being offered at a special discounts. The Masters Degree can be completed for only $1,800.00 and the Doctors Degree for $1,850.  And because of our interest-free financing anyone can earn their Masters or Doctors Degree in Apostolic and Prophetic Studies for as little as $50.00 a month.

A call to the ministry, whether it is a call to serve Christ and His Kingdom as an apostle, a prophet, an evangelist, a pastor or teacher, is a call to prepare. Paul's admonished Timothy, his apostolic deputy, to "study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." I request that you to prayerfully consider allowing the Apostles Theological Seminary to serve you in your preparation process.

For Jesus our King,
George Kouri,
Apostle of Jesus Christ and Chancellor of ATS
