TAKE NT 701 "THE REVELATION OF JOHN" FOR SPRING 2016

Contrary to popular opinion the Book of Revelation was not, I repeat, not written to us or to our generation. According to Jesus Himself (Revelation 1:1-3), it was written to seven city-churches located in Asia Minor (today's Turkey) and to the saints of the first century to prepare them for certain catastrophic and age-ending events that were about to take place in their day.

No, it is not about the coming of a future Antichrist, Cobra Helicopters, or World War III! Nor is it about the end of the world. Instead, according to Jesus the Book of Revelation is about the preaching of the Gospel of the Kingdom to gather the remnant of Israel (the 144,000) and the first-fruits of the nations (a multitude that no man could number), the governmental or justice prayers of the New Covenant saints, the destruction of Herod's Temple and the judgment of the Harlot City of Jerusalem, that brought an end of the Jewish Age (the age of Moses) and the revelation and establishment of Messiah's Kingdom and His Church. The end of the age of Moses or the Law and the revelation of Jesus as Lord and King (Messiah) took place in 70 A.D., when Titus and the armies of Rome destroyed the Jewish temple and burned Jerusalem, just as Jesus and the prophets of Israel had prophesied they would!

Once again according to Jesus, the burning of Jerusalem and the destruction of the Jewish Temple in 70 A.D. was in fact the sign on the earth that the Son of Man (the promised Messiah or the Son of God) is now ruling in heaven as King of kings and Lord of lords, that the Old Covenant or Jewish age has ended, and that Messiah's Day and the times of the gentiles, i.e. the judgment or conquest of the nations, has begun. Today is Messiah's Day, and today King Jesus is dealing with the present evil age and judging or disciplining men and nations on the basis of their obedience or disobedience to the Gospel of the Kingdom and in answer to the governmental prayers of the Church, in the same way that He dealt with apostate Israel in the 40 year transitional period between the outpouring of the Spirit on the day of Pentecost and the destruction of the Temple in 70 A.D..

This critically important study, NT 701 "The Revelation of John", is part of the doctoral program of the Apostles Theological Seminary. Taught by Apostle Rod Seago, one of South Africa's premier Bible teachers and preachers, NT 701 is available for the Spring Semester which begins January 13. ATS Chancellor George Kouri will also be featured as a special guest lecturer for dialogue with the doctoral students and to answer questions. Don't miss this exciting, relevant, and paradigm changing study as Apostle Seago allows Jesus and the Prophets of Israel explain the prophecy given to John to prepare the saints of the 1st century for what was about to happen in their day.
