Led Or Driven

Are you being led or driven?  If you are being driven, then what's driving you?  That discussion should be with a trusted counselor.  But, if you are being led, then the question is, what's leading you or even better, Who's leading you?

Obviously from my perspective, the "Jesus" answer is to be led by the Spirit of Christ.  This question, though, is meant for us to reflect deeper about this leading.  To what degree are we being led by His Spirit?  What I am driving at is our continual development of relationship with God.  It nevers end, and ideally should increase and improve.  Our ability to hear clearly  from the Lord should improve through maturity.  That does not mean we arrive to a point of never needing a check.  Rather, we have learned the voice of The Shepherd to be consistent to what has already been revealed about the nature of The Shepherd in the scriptures, particularly according to the New Covenant made for us through The Father and The Son.

I have found that building relationships, study and learning from life, all influenced by the marvelous grace of God, equip me to grow, learn and hear from The Father.  The wonderful thing about being led by the Spirit of Christ is that every day is new, a new opportunity to live, grow, learn and be blessed to be a blessing to others.  The obedience of faith will take us to deeper dimensions of the realty of God in our lives, and in the lives of others.

Blessings to you from Apostles Theological Seminary!
